As believers, we need to daily pick up our cross and follow Him. This is only done through surrender. Galatians 2:20 tells us, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Here is a list of songs and hymns about surrender.
Worship Songs Originally Recorded in the Key of Bb
The power of his presence is mighty. It will fill the temple and no one will be able to enter during the Tribulation. This is a glimpse of the power of God's presence. There were multiple times in the Bible where the presence of God entered a place and people were unable to stand. (1 Chron 6 and upper room in Acts 2) We need to seek His presence and power in our lives. This comes through the filling of the Holy Spirit.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6. If the future feels uncertain right now, and worry keeps occupying too much room in your heart, in your mind, remember this: God is already in all of our tomorrows. He knows our way, and He has a plan. And we can be assured it's always the best one for us. God never asks us to figure it all out on our own. He just asks us to trust Him, to recognize His leadership and Sovereignty in our lives. And He promises to make our pathways straight. Wonderful Counsellor, King of Kings, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God reveals Himself through the sacred communication of His name. As we are named with a purpose to be known, God is named so that we may know Him with purpose. And because we know Him, we praise His name eternally. Here is a list of songs focusing on His name.
Breathing air is a sign of being alive! Pictures of breath and life are found throughout God's story of redemption. When God breathed into the man he had formed. These are songs and hymns that speak of the life-giving Spirit into our lives.
Do you ever wonder if God is still in control of this world? It's normal to wonder that, but at the same time, we need to keep reminding ourselves that God is indeed all-powerful. In spite of all our circumstances, the power of God is real and relevant. When we sing about his power, our hearts are filled with hope, courage, and renewed confidence to face another day. These are the songs that remind us of the powerful God we serve.

As a mom of three, as we approach Mother's Day, I have recently reflected on how my prayers and my worship have changed since becoming a mom. I've realized a greater need for it. Since becoming a mom, I've found myself on my knees more times than I can count. There's something about it that is beautiful and challenging at the same time. I am reminded daily of my need for my Savior. My song, You Already Have is a prayer that I wrote recently, and it is particularly poignant on my journey as a mom. I find myself feeling inadequate in so many areas. And as a mom, I thought that I was never enough of anything for anyone. Inspired by Psalm 46, this song was my reminder that I don't need to worry about coming up short because I lean on a Savior who already has everything I will ever need. When I thought about the kinds of songs that I might put on a setlist for Mother's Day, my heart immediately went to surrender and gratitude. That must be my daily posture as a mom, surrendering my kids, my failures and insecurities, and then living in gratitude for what God has entrusted to me. So, the first three songs are all about surrender, and the last two are about gratitude. I created this setlist to allow us to reflect on all that we can be grateful for as moms (whether biological, adoptive, or foster moms, aunts, teachers or mentors, etc.). It can also be a unique opportunity to minister to those for whom this day is painful due to loss, grief, or disappointment in waiting.
