Lyrics
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
Our hymn of grateful praise
FOR THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH
Verse 1
For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise
For the wonder of each hour
Of the day and of the night
Hill and vale and tree and flower
Sun and moon and stars of light
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
Our hymn of grateful praise
NARRATOR
September 16, 1620. A small ship sailed with 101 passengers from Plymouth, England, to the New World. They sought one thing—freedom to worship! Sixty-six people reached the tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Before going ashore, the men on board signed a written agreement, a document they called the Mayflower Compact.
CHOIR
“In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten...having undertaken for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith...a voyage to plant the first colony...do by these present, solemnly and mutually, in the presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together....”
WE GATHER TOGETHER
Verse 1
We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing
He chastens and hastens His will to make known
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing
Sing praises to His name, He forgets not his own
NARRATOR
Having been city dwellers in England, the settlers found themselves unprepared for the harsh wilderness. Within a few months, half of the Pilgrims had died. Perhaps it seemed their voyage had been in vain—that their quest for a new life had brought them only hardship.
Yet with the help of the natives, the settlers learned to plant and grow crops. By the fall of 1621, they celebrated their first harvest with a feast, proclaiming it a day of prayer and thanksgiving to God.
NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD
Verse 1
Now thank we all our God
With heart and hands and voices
Who wondrous things hath done
In whom His world rejoices
Who, from our mothers’ arms
Hath blest us on our way
With countless gifts of love
And still is ours today
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
Our hymn of grateful praise
NARRATOR
And now we, as the Pilgrims before us, celebrate freedom and abundant blessings from our Heavenly Father. So let us join together and bring an offering of praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God. (adapted from Psalm 136)
NARRATOR
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
CHOIR/CONGREGATION
Give thanks to the God of gods.
NARRATOR
Give thanks to the Lord of lords.
CHOIR/CONGREGATION
To Him who alone does great wonders, who by His understanding made the heavens...
NARRATOR
Who spread out the earth upon the waters, who made the great lights...
CHOIR/CONGREGATION
The sun to govern the day...
NARRATOR
The moon and the stars to govern the night...
CHOIR/CONGREGATION
Who freed us from our enemies...
NARRATOR
Who gives food to every creature...

Give thanks to the Lord.
NARRATOR
Give thanks to the Lord!
CHOIR/CONGREGATION
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
MY TRIBUTE
Verse 1
How can I say thanks
For the things You have done for me
Things so undeserved
Yet You gave to prove Your love for me?
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude
All that I am and ever hope to be
I owe it all to Thee
Chorus
To God be the glory
To God be the glory
To God be the glory
For the things He has done
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory
For the things He has done
Bridge
Just let me live my life
Let it be pleasing, Lord, to Thee
And should I gain any praise
Let it go to Calvary
Half Chorus
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory
For the things He has done
Tag
To God be the glory
For the things He has done...
