About

A decade may have passed since singer/songwriter/worship leader David Glenn released the acclaimed long player, *Relentless*, but in the time away from the studio, he’s become that much more seasoned in all aspects of each craft. Whether heading up the music at his home church in Atlanta, joining Third Day’s Mark Lee on “The Church Tour” throughout the spring and fall of 2023, or opening major outings for the likes of NewSong and Casting Crowns, the CCLI-published powerhouse, who finds countless churches covering his
songs continues to make significant spiritual and creative strides.

His first single back comes just in time for the holidays in the form of the festive “Hope Has Come To Reign,” which was produced by Scotty Wilbanks (Third Day, Luke Bryan), plus features mixing and mastering from Brandon Swafford. And while it’s certain to be a source of Christmas inspiration, thankfully his musical gifts will extend well beyond the season with the announcement of 2024’s fittingly titled *Brand New Day*, speaking of not just this return to faith-fueled recording, but equally applying to listeners seeking rejuvenation or
rebirth of any kind.

Once again accompanied by Wilbanks, engineer Trammell Starks, plus CCM/southern gospel mainstay Jason Cox (Jeff & Sheri Easter, Finding Favor) and Curb/Word Music Publishing’s Tony Wood (Michael W. Smith, Matt Redman) as co-writers, the title track explodes from the speakers with a rock meets gospel energy, a splashy horn section and a rousing chorus of gang vocals featuring David, Babbie Mason, Alfreda Gerald, Tony Hightower and Cheryl Rogers.

However, stylistic variety comes at every uplifting turn, thanks to the country/bluegrass feel of the worshipful “Deeper Still” and the solo piano praise of “Lord of the Sun and Rain,” two additional tunes from the highly anticipated EP, co-written with Cox and Daywind Music Publishing’s Lee Black Brian Free & Assurance, The Talleys), which will also be released individually in the coming months.

“Each song sounds completely different musically but has similarities in the same underlying themes of fresh starts, new beginnings, hope, forgiveness, and choosing to bless the Lord no matter our circumstances,” sums up David. “No matter what the day may bring, good or bad, it’s a day that God has given us and ‘we will rejoice.’”
