Robert Sterling is a songwriter, arranger, record producer, author, and teacher. His songs have landed at the top of Christian radio charts, recorded by artists including Point of Grace, the Gatlin Brothers, Gold City, and Sandi Patti. Among Robert's record-producing credits are the certified gold albums, “Point of Grace,” “The Whole Truth," and “24,” by Point of Grace, and the Grammy-nominated recording, "Love Will," by the Talleys. His choral music is sung every week in churches around the world. And he is the author of The Craft of Christian Songwriting (Hal Leonard Books).
Robert is a six-time winner of the Gospel Music Association's Dove Award, the latest coming in 2011 for the Easter musical, As Sure as My Redeemer Lives (Word Music).
From 1995 to 2003, Robert led the songwriting faculty for the Academy of Gospel Music Arts. In 2003-04, he taught Music Publishing at Belmont University, and from 2008-2012, he served on the advisory board of Baylor University’s Center for Christian Music Studies.
Robert and his wife, Cindy, live in Brentwood, Tennessee. They have two terrific sons and four fabulous grandkids.
