About
DUNN & WILT formed their innovative collaboration in the late summer of 2010, recognizing the unique fit their songwriting strengths were with one another. Beginning with some minor projects capturing fresh approaches to classic hymns, they blended their love of today's ambient music and folk rock with their own instrumental and lyrical penchants.
Their ‘modular’ approach to integrating the contemporary chorus with rich hymnody is unique among writers today.
In live settings, Dunn & Wilt lead experiential evenings of ancient-future art and music on swelling synths, hammered dulcimers, guitar, piano, lap dulcimer and more. For them, worship expression that is ‘wordless’ and instrumental is as vital to the soul as worship expressions with lyrics. They lead each with a sense of joy, blending worship experiences with storytelling and a call to mission. Their passion is to artfully reveal a God who is intimately involved with every person’s stories of joy or suffering.
JEREMY DUNN is a composer, songwriter and color-coded instrumentalist originally hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Deeply influenced by the soundscapes and production sensibilities of Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and the sounds of the scratchy vinyl, he is Dan's favorite musician.
Dunn's musical background is rich with study in both modern and classic forms, and his collection of retro-rock is remarkable. Jeremy holds dual BA's – one in Commercial Music and one in Communications from Grand Canyon University – as well as years of diverse musical experience.
Jeremy lives in Nashville, TN with his wife Amy, and children Liam and Fiona. Their beautiful daughter Bailey has gone ahead of us all into Glory.
DAN WILT is a lyricist, author, songwriter and creative visionary originally from the wild woods of Pennsylvania. Serving as the Worship Resource Developer of Vineyard Music Global, and as the Founder of WorshipTraining.com, Dan brings a unique blend of the artist and the shepherd to his co-writing with Dunn.
His prose is seasoned with Lewis, Dillard, Tennyson, Watts and Herbert, and his bookshelf at home is lined with hymnals from virtually every tradition imaginable.
Wilt's writing background is diverse, and to date he has penned hundreds of poems, songs and stories to be released in book form.
Dan has a BA in Religion and Philosophy from Messiah College, and an M.Min. in Classic Christian Spirituality and Formation from St. Stephen's University.
Dan lives in Franklin, TN with his wife Anita, and their three children, Anna, Abigail and Benjamin.
