Jesus understands and says, “Come to me, weary and heavy-laden. And I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28. Notice Jesus doesn't say, “Come to me strong, cheerful, without worries.” Jesus said the opposite. We're invited to come to Him weary—whether confused, numb, anxious, angry, stuck, or stressed. Jesus tells us to simply come. Imperfectly His. As we are.
Life is like the race of life. How well are you running? Do you get involved in life, helping others, changing your attitude if necessary, and not giving up if you feel defeated in life with its hurdles and problems? The Apostle Paul, in another of his letters in the Bible, put it like this: “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”. Hallelujah is an exclamation of worship or a call to praise from two Hebrew words meaning "Praise ye the Lord" or "Praise Yahweh." As leaders and directors of music curate the church praise and worship, here are some suggested song sheets, choral arrangements, and orchestrations to lift up a sound of praise to God.
Our voices are the symphony of our prayers, lifted in adoration to the splendor of God. He hears our faith through our song. He sees our spoken testimony as awakened believers. And because of this, He celebrates alongside the fellowship of His people, commanding His angels to carry on the sound of worship. Here is a list of songs focused on the joyous movement that is singing.
Life is change. The longer you live, the more you know that the only thing constant in this life is change. Whether our changes seem hard or make us happy, change teaches us that life is fragile, uncertain and temporary. Nothing lasts forever. Well, something lasts forever. God. “For I, the LORD, do not change …” (Malachi 3:6a). In Psalm 102:27, the psalmist declares, “But You are the same, and Your years will not come to an end” (NASB). God doesn't change. He has always been and will always be never changing. Download chord charts, lead sheets, and orchestrations on the theme of change.
In Christ we have freedom. Free from the power of sin; free from the bondage of our past; free to walk by the Spirit in freedom, free to be content in whatever situation we find ourselves, free to find healing and deliverance in our Savior. And in all these things, this freedom offers hope and glorifies God. Here is a list of songs focusing on freedom.
