So how did we come to be accepted by God? We heard about what Jesus did for us, that He died, was buried, and rose again to pay for our sins. God was close to us, because God wanted to be close. Even after we got into trouble with sin and separated ourselves from His presence, he pursued us. He never let us out of His sight. God rescued humanity over and over again. God is still claiming his people today, and doing it by moving in with us, being close.
