Brooke Ligertwood: I made a strange advent playlist for anyone else who finds themself in a strange place this advent.I will probably post some more about Advent because it's been a deep well for me these past few years. What Advent reveals to me about God's ways does so at a magnitude that feels similar to what Easter reveals to me about His heart. If you want to fill your house with Christmas vibes, there are thankfully lots of amazing playlists that will do that (and our household will absolutely be gleefully partaking of the usual wonderful Brenda Lee/Wham/Bing/Mariah/Buble tings). But this is the kind of playlist for when the kids are in bed and you're up late wrapping or doing food prep or cleaning up from the day and maybe having a bit of a cry or contemplation or being sad or mad and asking God a lot of questions (He can handle it - He loves it actually). It's the kind of playlist for when you're flying or driving into a situation you're just not sure you have the strength to face this year. This playlist would also be good for when you're feeling completely normal but just want to have your imagination stretched and listen to something a bit different.
